Celebrating the Success of Afrika Tikkun USA Legacy Gala

On April 11th. 2016, Afrika Tikkun USA hosted its inaugural legacy gala at the St. Regis, New York. The event honored John S. Chalsty and June Tatelman for their dedicationto advancing the welfare of youth and communities and for their generous contributions to Afrika Tikkun. We are proud to announce that the Gala raised over $140,000 for our beneficiaries in South Africa.

Safelite Autoglass 7th Annual Triathlon Fundraiser for Afrika Tikkun

On April 16th 2016 Safelite AutoGlass® hosted its 7th. Annual Safelite Challenge to raise funds for vulnerable youth in South Africa. 400 people travelled to Las Vegas to participate in the fundraiser, including four Afrika TIkkun student athletes, flown to the US by our sponsors Delta Airlines. The challenge raised $340,000 this year, which will be donated to Afrika Tikkun’s Cradle to Career development program.

Nicole V. Cramer’s Birthday: A Celebration with a Purpose

Nicole V. Cramer’s Birthday_ A Celebration with a Purpose 1Our dear Board of Directors member and External Affairs Chair, Nicole V. Cramer initiated a successful online fundraising campaign for Afrika TIkkun USA on her birthday. Through her efforts, we surpassed our goal to raise $3,000 (inclusive of a matching gift from Nicole), raising a total of $4,780 for Afrika Tikkun.

Afrika Tikkun is proud to have partnered with the City of Johannesburg, as Marketing Partner for the U.S.Department of Commerce’s Trade Winds Africa Mission, the largest trade mission to Africa. The Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Industry & Analysis, Marcus Jadotte, also visited our Alexandra Community Center.
