Hi, I’m Junior Chuene, Thabile’s mom.
I came to Diepsloot 20 years ago in the hopes of finding better opportunities. But after all this time, my community is still challenged with crime, and access to water and electricity. There is also a lot of unemployment. I too am unemployed but I’m hoping after I pass my nursing exams, I can secure a good job to move my family of 5 out of Diepsloot. As for Thabile, I know she’s in great hands at Afrika Tikkun. She’s so smart and loves learning. I’m really proud of her.
